Renewable Energy Certificates
Invest in clean energy by purchasing RECs
We leverage our trading capabilities and work with renewable energy producers to provide RECs for businesses just like yours. Find out how you can take advantage in order to meet compliance-based and voluntary sustainability targets.
Purchasing RECs
RECs are issued when one megawatt-hour (MWh) of electricity is generated and delivered to the electricity grid from a renewable energy source. You can purchase these RECs either as a stand-alone product or bundled with energy.
Unbundled
Sold, delivered, or purchased separately from electricity, these RECs are flexible and cost-effective. They are not tied to an underlying power purchase agreement (PPA) and can come from either a single renewable source or a mix of sources.
Bundled
Sold, delivered, or purchased alongside electricity from the same renewable resource, these RECs are less flexible but give you the ability to claim the purchase of clean energy from a specific project.
